Tomorrow marks the day Joe asked me to marry him two years ago. Luckily, he did not ask me on April Fools Day. Today I looked back at some of our wedding photos. We had an outdoor wedding that had all the feels of being indoors. My mom did an amazing job creating a “living room” atmosphere.
As it snows here…again…on this spring day, I thought I’d write about some ways to bring the indoors outside. I will use these ideas once I can see my lawn.

Nothing beats a farm table. We had farm tables at our wedding, and bought a farm table for our home soon after. In the future,I want to ask the man that built our farm table in our dining room to build us an outdoor farm table.
Overhead string lights are great for outdoor lighting. My mom had the fantastic idea of adding some lamps to end tables. It made the area so cozy. I didn’t low that you can actually purchase outdoor lamps that are safe to be outside rain or shine. Pier 1 and Target both have a great selection of outdoor lamps and string lights.
The men in my family loves their cigars. My mom created a vintage look by adding decanters and glasses that she found at goodwill.
Personally, I love the look of worn in chairs. We borrowed chairs from family. I love the look of the rattan chair set below. They look nicely worn and comfortable.
Lastly, if you want to get the feeling of the indoors outside, add blankets, pillows, and cushions. They add color and texture, and provide the warmth and comfort everyone wants while enjoying a fire and cold drink.
